LumaWall does not receive or store full card, wallet, or bank credentials. Those details are entered with the payment provider you choose.
1. Scope
This policy applies to LumaWall websites, desktop apps, account and licensing services, creator tools, community features, and support interactions. A third-party service may apply its own privacy policy when you leave LumaWall or interact directly with that provider.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication and verification records, username, display name, profile details, and account identifiers.
- Content and community activity: uploaded wallpaper files, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, categories, tags, visibility choices, moderation results, likes, downloads, and creator-profile activity.
- Device and license information: a privacy-preserving device identifier derived by the app, device name, platform, app version, trial dates, license status, activation history, and active-device count. LumaWall does not need the raw hardware identifier used to derive the app identifier.
- Purchase information: product, price, currency, tax and country information, payment status, provider transaction references, and the account or device receiving the license. Payment providers collect payment credentials directly.
- Technical and security information: IP address, approximate country or locale, request and error logs, browser or client details, timestamps, rate-limit signals, and security events.
- Support information: feedback, bug reports, feature requests, optional contact email, platform, app version, and anything you include in a request.
3. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, email verification, downloads, trials, purchases, activation, and device management.
- Store, review, publish, deliver, and measure community wallpapers according to creator visibility choices.
- Calculate localized pricing and tax, prevent duplicate purchases, issue or revoke licenses, and handle refunds or disputes.
- Protect accounts and infrastructure, enforce rate limits and policies, investigate abuse, and comply with valid legal obligations.
- Diagnose failures, support users, maintain compatibility, and improve LumaWall.
4. When information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate the service: with infrastructure, database, authentication, storage, delivery, moderation, and payment providers; with other users when you make a profile or wallpaper public; with advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or comply with law; and in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Your choices and rights
You can choose whether an upload is private or submitted for public review, update available profile fields, deactivate licensed devices, and avoid optional support fields. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information.
Email a privacy request to support@lumawall.ca, or submit it through Support. We may need to verify that you control the account or email involved. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, licensing integrity, accounting, disputes, or law.
6. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. Account and public-content records generally remain while the account or content is active. Trial and license records may remain longer to enforce one trial per device, prove ownership, manage activations, prevent fraud, and meet financial or legal obligations. Retention for security logs, rejected uploads, backups, and support records depends on operational, safety, and legal needs.
7. Security and international processing
LumaWall uses access controls, private storage, signed media access, transport encryption, rate limits, and other safeguards appropriate to the service. No system is perfectly secure. Information may be processed in countries other than your own through the providers needed to operate LumaWall, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
8. Children
LumaWall is not directed to children who cannot consent to data processing under applicable law. Do not create an account or upload personal information if you lack the required consent. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information without authorization can contact Support.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as LumaWall or applicable law changes. The effective date will identify the current version, and material changes will be communicated through a reasonable product or website notice.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@lumawall.ca or visit Support. If that route is unavailable, use the feedback form and label the request “Privacy.”
